The Limited Cardigan Is Not So Limited

In life we often limit ourselves in our goals, dreams and daily living. Why is it that we feel that we need to conform and do what society says we should do? I was one of the individuals who never like conforming but always felt a strain weight coming from others to do so. Whether it was a job just to get by, going to school because society says it's right, or even from the way I look. I was tired of family, friends, society putting limits on me. People telling me what I'm capable of. It got to the point I didn't even know who I was anymore. I disliked my job, school (commercially) wasn't for me, and I was annoyed with my hair. I was tired of being something that I'm not and people telling me I should settle for less than what I deserve.

Getting closer to God has helped me realize I do not need to conform. Why, should I? He made me this way for a reason. I am a go-getter, a dreamer, a risk taker. We all have special talents, gifts, given to us. It's our chose what we do with them. We have to understand that loving yourself and doing what's best for you is the most important thing in life. God never said he wants you to be unhappy. Like seriously, where did he say that in his word. He wants you to use your talents, and when you succeed all he wants is recognition because he open the doors. He says yes even though others say no.

It comes to a point where we have to make that decision not to care what others say or think. We all have our own walk. This is not a race, nor a competition with one another, although society makes it seem that way. We all have our own deviation of success. Success to me is accomplishing your dreams and doing what makes you happy. In my walk I have come to understand and continue to learn that God is so loving and forgiving. He forgives us even when we don't forgive ourselves.

We must realize life is too short, appreciate the time you have and live. Be kind, even if others aren't! Be creative, even if you have to lose a few hours of sleep. Live life because you never know what tomorrow will bring. And most importantly be yourself because that's who he called you to be. Yes, we all make mistakes but it's about learning from the mistake that sets us apart from the rest. Getting up and trying again! Life is a journey, where you learn and grow. Think of it this way if you didn't mess up how would you learn. Live don't let others live for you.
God called you to be great, so be great.
Be the best you, you can be!
