Productivity is something you can't just wish for. It requires action. Often we have it's foe procrastination coming in and trying to stop us before we even start. Procrastination for me has been my biggest issue. Knowing when to get up and go and honestly that's literally what you need to do. Get up and go.
The way the world is set up now a days is fairly easy to get distracted that's why you need to think of mechanisms to change it. One thing for me is finding out my work place weakness. This mean areas where you know you won't get work done, for me it's my house. It's easier for me to go to the local library in Manhattan or my favorite spot which is Signature Theater. I find coffee houses and cafés tend to be ten times more distracting, with people walking in and out. Next step is to stay on task, turn off all notifications, better yet put your phone on silent mode. Complete a task then reward yourself with a ten minute break then go to the next one.
Honestly, I know your at a point where your like yeah Joy, easier said then done. But listen, it's really about putting your mind to it. Fix your mind on exactly, exactly what you want. Another key to helping you get things done, is doing one thing at a time. Give yourself a deadline to get the task done. Seriously, deadlines help to push you more towards your goal. When you leave an open schedule, you leave yourself open to wasting the day away. Use time blocks, put a
little pressure on yourself. You must be consistent and prioritize. Do what's more important.
Being efficient and productive is really about focusing your mind. What are the things your trying to accomplish? Ask yourself will you accomplish it by being on facebook for two hours, or getting lost in your Instagram newsfeed. I'm pretty sure your not. So really analyze. I try to stick to traditions during my trips to the library. I love to check out fashion books (the designer in me) reading the history and flipping through the pages gives me a sense of life. It helps build my work ethic and mind. I am less likely on the computer or my phone because I practice isolating myself by reading. Even better when you have fashion glasses that actually don't hinder your reading. I don't need glasses but I love how they look. So, when they started making fashion glasses I was all in.
These fashion glasses courtesy of Firmoo, are unbelievable cool. The quality of the lenses are phenomenal. It is as if your not wearing the glasses at all. I've tried on fashion glasses from different brands like H&M, Loft, TopShop etc, none can compare to the quality of these. It's like you have glasses with no lenses. It makes me think, if this is how it is for non-prescription how great the prescription ones would be. They come in varies styles and colors. This was my favorite because of the traditional glasses style, shaping and color which gave it a modern yet cool edge.

Inspirational Message of the Day
Quit making excuses, putting it off, complaining about it, dreaming about it, crying about it, believing you can't, worrying if you can, waiting until your older, braver, faster, smarter, or all around better. Suck it up, hold on tight, say a prayer, make a plan & JUST DO IT!!!
