We just had a major snow storm this past weekend, that left everyone having a little cabin fever moment. The city was almost vacant of cars and people. There were a few of those adventurous ones willing to risk frost bites not to stay in the house. However, it had a pegged a question for me. How can you dress when your up to the knee with snow.
You may or may not live in cold climates but it's very important to learn how to dress for every single degree of weather. The after math of the snow was colder temperatures and gusty winds. A great way to build your look for the weather is think warm. What pieces in your wardrobe can sustain you where you can still feel your toes. These Ugg boots I receive from my mother two years ago are perfect for the snow. Invest in boots with traction at the booth. That traction will help you not slip and fall especially when it's invisible ice on the side walk. You know the sidewalk that looks safe but there's a smooth covering of water over it that has turned into ice. Yeah, that's what I'm talking about.
Great addition to your look is a short fur vest! The one I'm wearing I recieved from The Rock Churches in Queens. This vest is currently my favorite because it's reversible! Yes! Reversible!!! So, if I need added warmth I just flipped it over! To complete this full look, you can add a classic denim button down or to add a little spice you can do plaid or a forest green button down! Denim jeans are essential in this season so stock up a bit on dark washes!
Remember have fun with your style! Complete the look with an oversize coat, add a fur stole to give it more life! If your not a faux fur person it's okay!!! Look for a coat that flatters and fits you in all the right places! Note: Make sure it's a size bigger so you have room for your layers!!! Have fun and stay warm!
